This book is a pretty amazing follow-up to an amazing first book (A Change of Plans). While the first couple chapters are pretty violent and were hard for me to read, I have read other books by this author and knew that it would be worth while to press on. This story was so touching, dealing with Jori’s tormented past and the way he grew through it. Though the events of this book take place at the same time as the events of A Change of Plans so I already knew some of what was going to happen, it was told from a completely different perspective and the details from the other book were important, yet secondary to the events of this story.
