When Wayne Farrell hears about his niece’s floral fiasco, it sparks a plan to mix up his own orders in an attempt to play matchmaker.
Reid has his reasons for not pursuing Kelsey… yet, and Wayne’s interference only makes an already difficult situation even more awkward. Premeditated Serendipity—because romance sometimes needs a little shove.

Premeditated Serendipity is another story that takes place in the fictional community of Fairbury created by Chautona Havig. Several characters from previous stories appear here, the primary one being Wayne, the owner of The Pettler (the flower shop). It is always so much fun to get a feel for what it might be like living in a small town. The incident with Reid and his locker probably shed light on what this might be like in a way that I have not ever even considered before.
There are so many lessons that can be learned from this book, as is most often true of stories by this author. She beautifully blends Christian truths with fiction in such a way that we learn a better way to live from her characters’ lives.
Forgiveness can be such a difficult thing when the issues are personal. And this story deals with exactly that. It is a touching story about the need to forgive others and allow their sins that have already been nailed to the cross to be left in the past.
Another important concept brought out in this story is that just because people quote Scripture, does not mean that they have a message for you from God. It sounds logical, but I think that we don’t often really think about that.
Some great quotes from this book:
The words flowed… the pain, the heartache, the double standards imposed on him by people wielding Bibles with the grace of a blind man on a mass shooting spree.
I’ve been saving date money almost since I met you.
