Timeless Love Anthology – Book Review, Preview

Posted June 20, 2018 by Phyllis Helton in Book Reviews / 4 Comments

What a great idea! An anthology that encompasses three centuries and just over 200 years. It is written by multiple authors, some of whom are new to me.

The anthology will only be available for a short time. After that, they will be available individually by each author. Considering the fact that this book is only $.99, it just makes sense to buy a copy of the anthology.

I have the overall details of the anthology here. I have the review for each book separately below, with individual star ratings. The rating for the anthology is the same as the highest individual rating.  🙂 As a note, until the authors release their books outside this collection, the links for those books will not work.

This story was lovely. There were a few twists and turns in it that made it fun.

I do wish more was explained about William’s death. I assume the details are in the previous book of this series, but being as it is such a big part of the plot of this one, it would have been nice to know the details in this book. That was the only detail I felt was lacking from the previous books in the series.

Another thing not explained well was the resolution of the case he was working on. We know what the result was, but how it came about would have been interesting.

Isabelle’s story is touching. Author Kari Trumbo did a great job in helping me feel her emotions.

While there were a few things in the story that seemed to be a bit much of stretch, it was easy to overlook them.

I had a smile on my face from the first sentence. Pepper Basham has a way with words and has written another flirty, funny, romantic adventure. Livy is like a female Sherlock Holmes. Brilliant as she is, however, she is oblivious where relationships are concerned. She is also delightfully insecure, yet determined enough to do the right thing.

There are some swoony kisses in this story, yet it remains nice and clean.

This novella was very touching.  Sarah Monzon has a gift for weaving stories around broken people and making you feel their hurts and see their hopes.

Her parent’s violent fights had traumatized Emory when she was a girl, and that experience caused her to build walls to protect herself.  Escaping into her books, she was safe.  Until her best friend, Tate, dared her to live.

As I told the author when I finished reading the book, “My heart is full and happy from reading your story!  It is so beautiful!”

They have two daughters, two sons, two cats, and one hungry wood stove.
