This story is the final one in the Out of the Blue Bouquet collection.  It ties all the others together and explains how the various mix-ups occurred.  Disaster follows disaster occur when Brooke is left in charge of the flower shop, but the problems aren’t really all her fault.  Yet she graciously accepts all responsibility without even hinting that the owner’s granddaughter played a rather large role in what could have been considered a comedy of errors if it was at all funny.

This is the tale of a woman who has always felt that she couldn’t measure up to her six, highly successful older siblings.  As Brooke watches her world fall apart after that fateful day when she was left in charge of the flower shop, her thoughts are mostly on others and not herself.

I loved that the story was told exclusively from Brooke’s perspective.  The writing allowed me to experience Brooke’s emotions.

The Sovereignty of God was a theme in this book, though it was not presented in that way.  The way He worked the seemingly bad things that happened for good was touching and a great reminder of that promise, even though the events of the book were not specifically presented in light of that verse in Romans 8:28.
